# 4 Spring trends to try

As we step closer to Spring like weather, we bid goodbye to shimmering party wear and Winter.. hopefully for a while. In this post I’m delighted to share you  4 Spring Summer trends that caught my eye on the runways and hopefully I’ll be trying out right way. Check out the looks I’ve curated and I’ll be glad to hear what you like to wear this spring 🙂

Light-Denim

There’s nothing more classic than a good pair of old denim jeans. This Spring Denim has taken several transformations in a directional play on surface design and texture. So more reason to broaden your denim pieces beyond jeans.
Hippy jeans – The slouchy, big, super wide-legged kind. You’d want the bells to almost touch the ground and have your shoes to peek out from underneath.
Texture overload – Make a statement with scaled denim and raw self-textured ruffles or even patchwork for a DIy feel.
Denim on Denim– Double denim styling makes a modern statement with pairings of formal jackets and jeans.
Light weight denim –  Go feather light with print dresses and shirts if you’re not keen on jeans.

Off the shoulder

I’m so thrilled to see one of the biggest trends back again. From off-the-shoulder tops to peek a boo shoulder cut-outs to asymmetrical necklines, leaves plenty of room for accessorizing, especially with earrings; and offers a skin-baring option for girls who prefer not to reveal their arms or elsewhere. Whether your style is  romantic, classic  or laid back bohemian, an off-the-shoulder blouse or dress can work from day to night.

The romantics

At SS16 shows of Michael Kors, Miu Miu, Alexanddra McQueen and more, bold ruffles became a key detail trend.  From modern ruffles in body con silhouettes to dreamy sheer materials, ruffles are so in for spring with romantic touches and tiered layers. It’s time to embrace your feminine style and charm with light and airy looks perfect for spring.

How to wear:

Wear bold ruffles for a sense of drama for the evening.
Pair structured or exaggerated flounces with tailored pants or skirt.
Team ruffles with a lace skirt for a super feminine look.
Tuck in a frilled shirt into a thigh-baring pencil skirt for a grown-up look.
Accessorize – dress down  a pretty lace ruffle dress with converses or dress it up with colourful bold slippers and a clutch bag.

Slip it on

With underwear as outerwear as a lead concept, SS16 is looking pretty sexy already. A slinky, silky slip dress is all you need to feel sexy. Invest in a classic black style, one with a pop of color, or a pretty gold metallic version.
How to wear:
With a shirt layered over it –Tone down its sexiness  simply by layering a T-shirt or a sweater over it so just a peek of the slip dress is visible.
With minimal accessories – It’s about minimalism. Don’t overdo the accessories, and complete the look with nude shoes.
With an open cardigan – Throw on a long cardi and pair with mules.
With a blazer – Try a men’s blazer over the silk number, adding sleeves, or extending the neckline.
