Gone Green

Gone Green

This is quite a transitional period for me. Fall in Taiwan doesn’t feel like fall in England. The leaves don’t really brown. There are days during September when it still feels like summer. It is getting a little cooler but not hugely. I’m still wearing shorts and in two minds about putting on a jacket. I do miss autumn back home. My beauty sleep is so much better and I can be more creative with putting outfits together. At this time of the year it is easily tempting to sport an all black outfit, so I’m consciously trying to inject pops of colour into my looks. As seen, I’m wearing an emerald green A line skirt that I’ve been waiting to slip into for sometime now. I absolutely love the colour green. It’s less showy and girly than red, purple and pink but green can be seriously sophisticated and feminine. There’s forest green, jade green, mint green, and one to avoid is Quality Street Praline green. Isn’t there something magical about emerald green? The colour is everywhere and it’s fabulous. It’s a balanced shade of green, representing love, calmness, serenity, rejuvenation and eternity. Doesn’t it look so good against lightly tanned skin? It’s a rich and classy hue that really pops when paired with basic black. Even paired with gold or silver jewellery, emerald green gives off  a luscious, rich look.
