I’ve been quite the couch potato recently. The weather man isn’t exactly making it easy for me to leave the house in the gloomy and cold weather! That’s alright because my friend Netflix and I have been on a non stop movie marathon. I’ve been addicted to watching romantic classics which helped inspired this retro feel post. Old Hollywood movies that is. I love the idea of Hollywood glitz and glamour, the way it used to be. It’s not about the fame, but rather it’s the luxurious feel that the old Hollywood style brings. Timeless elegance. I’ve always loved the old Hollywood style…those films were much better than today’s, more poetic and tender, unforgettable….
Those were the times when men were men and women were glamorous. When sex was implied with no sweat boobs or the other. When a glance or a hand clenched was enough.
I don’t know about you, but I feel powerless resisting so many of Hollywood’s classic “I love you” moments, plus a few kisses and other climactic scenes, put together in rapid fire succession. You’ll end up with all of the wistful, uplifting satisfaction of watching two people finally say what they’ve been trying to say for the whole movie, but without any of the fuss. It’s like Valentine’s Day on speed.
We all know that Valentines Day is just around the corner. Excited much? If you ask me it’s a tad overrated, but it’s a nice opportunity
for pop culture, TV shows, magazines and websites to increase their popularity ratings. And of course it’s so fun to dress up!
