Taste of Spain

Having spent some time in London, I thought  it would be a good idea to travel to Europe to escape the cold. My husband and I had Italy on our minds and it turned out that Spain’s weather was more promising.  It was so warm in Barcelona. I felt so grateful to finally feel a bit of warmth and see a bit of sun. As a first timer in Spain, I couldn’t wait to try authentic Paella and Tapas.. and I was not disappointed. Barcelona is a rather quirky and sophisticated city with near-limitless options. From quirky art and architecture, imaginative food and vibrant street life, for cultural immersion there’s no shortage of things to do here.
As we thought two days were just enough, we decided that Seville would be our next destination and as recommended by a close friend that ‘Seville is a must see.’ And she was right. Seville is impossibly sexy. It’s all about wandering the many pathways past stunning gardens and mosaic plazas, eating at famed gelaterias, and browsing through the stunning ceramics, and admiring elaborate structures dating back from the 13th century, no wonder it’s difficult to not fall in love with the city. Even at night Seville is restless. One can spend all night watching a traditional flamenco performance while sipping sangrias. Beautiful weather all round, breathtaking views, amazing food and long siestas.. no wonder the Spanish are said to live happy lives.

Have you been to Spain? Please do tell.
