Thank goodness I didn’t have to fly across the world for a long weekend trip. One of the perks of being based in Taiwan is for one I get to travel to Asian cities such as Seoul, Tokyo and South East Asia in a matter of hours. I’d been dreaming of going back to HK for quite some time—I’d been once before, but that’s a distant memory. I’ll admit though, I was a bit worried as there’s just so much to see. How would I possibly check off the places in just four days?
Thankfully, Hong Kong is fairly small and many of the main attractions are clustered near one another so that you can easily skip from one place to the next. Hong Kong is also a very easy place to get around and to explore on your own.
For the first-timer, it can be overwhelming to navigate with so much to do, see and eat spanning every mountain, hidden alleyway and stretch of shoreline in this towering city. First timers should mix and match place as there’s a little bit of everything for everyone. Here is a list of places I visited and recommend visiting.

Kowloon
Kowloon has plenty of culturally rich attractions such as temples, gardens, galleries and live performance venues, which are among the finest things to do in this part of town. Plus, this is where you will find the best shopping markets in all of Hong Kong.

Whether you’re spending a a couple of days or a week, Hong Kong is worth the returning to, as there’s never enough to see.
