Winter Wardrobe Staples

Despite the drop in temps and hard to get out of bed mornings, one thing’s sure to smile about this winter is your wardrobe prowess. December is one of my favourite months of the year. Mainly because I have more excuses to sparkle in sequins and to resurrect my fur coat. As much as I love to get glammed up, staying warm is even more important. With all the crazy seasonal sales going on online, I’ve been obsessively shopping at Romwe online store. Who can’t resist a bargain?

So, with the colder months in mind, today I’ve rounded up my winter wardrobe staples.

Take a look…

Boots

For me the key to a happy winter is to have warm feet. Usually a pair of sparkly boots that is at least mid-calf high with a bit of heel  and one that can get me from work to home, and from errand to errand would be the perfect choice.

Leather

A leather jacket can withstand cold winds and elevate any look.
Since I’m not a pants type of girl, I always go for leather leggings.

Sweaters

Sweaters, turtle necks whatever you call them, they’re such amazing layering pieces. I love a chunky knit worn over a mini skirt or leggings.  Another personal favourite of mine is the high neck which creates an illusion of a defined jawline and a slimmer looking face.

The fur coat

Nothing makes me feel more glamorous during the winter than wearing a warm fur coat (faux). Worn over a party frock or a casual ensemble, fur instantly adds that glam touch.

Sequins

Right about now is the time that I get super creative with winter dressing. That means mixing and matching prints, layering various pieces, and trying to bring as much fun to cold-weather dressing as possible. One way is to do it is by wearing sequins all the time!
They look great paired with simpler articles of clothing that do not have embellishments. You can dress up something old or something plain without fear of going overboard.

Mini skirt

Just because it’s cold out there that doesn’t mean I’ll hide them in my closet. Miniskirts pair well with tights, leggings, knee-high socks and a good chunky knit.
