Fringe: Outfit

This season is all about the Fringe. I’m so thrilled it’s back because I’ve always been a fan. What makes fringing so chic? The movement it gives to our outfits. The texture and volume it adds makes a  point of interest to an otherwise simple look. It’s feminine and can be dressed up or down. Whether you’re going for a 20’s flapper vibe or a Midwest cowgirl, it’ll surely make a bold statement to your look. One thing to be cautious about with this trend is selecting the right materials, otherwise you could end up looking cheap. You can’t go wrong with Faux leather or suede pieces whether it’s a garment or accessories. It’s always best to choose one or two fringed items and keep the rest of the outfit simple.

Although not overly versatile the fringed skirt makes such a statement as a part of an evening outfit or dressy day time event The black leather or suede are stylish and sophisticated but I equally love those with bright colours and patterns.

Who doesn’t love a fringed leather jacket? They’re great for cooler days and for a low key outfit. Worn with statement heels for a dressy look and you’ll look instantly chic.

Sport the hippie look in a hurry with help from this cool kimono. Great for casual dressing for a summer’s day.

If you’re not keen letting the fringe taking over your look but want a piece of this trend, an accessory or shoes is the simple way to do it.
