I get asked frequently why I love Hong Kong more than other cities in the world, and I have difficulty explaining it.
Firstly, Hong Kong is such a gorgeous city. As far as I’m concerned Hong Kong has one of the most beautiful skylines. The view from Sky Terrace 428 is absolutely amazing during the night. One of the things I love about Hong Kong is the vibe and to be quite frank it’s one of the only cities in Asia I could actually imagine living in. There are parts of Kowloon where you feel like you’re in the middle of China, while you take the Star Ferry to Hong Kong Island and feel like you’re in the cleanest, most globally cosmopolitan city in the world. Growing up in London, I could instantly see similarities between the two cities. It does feel a bit like home. I was so happy to see familiar stores such as Topshop and Marks and Spencer. The British really have left their mark in Hong Kong. There’s definitely an interesting energy in this city and I’m sure I’ll find my way back there.
