The sun’s slowing coming out and it’s getting seriously warm. Skirts are getting shorter and shorts are even getting more shorter. Living in Taipei I’m used to seeing young woman wear High Waisted Denim shorts, so short that it would attract police attention in many western countries. In winter it’s with thick tights and in summer it’s all legs out and the buttocks are partially visible. You either love or loathe High Waisted Jeans. Personally, I love them. They’re so cool, versatile and helps to elongate my legs. It’s a slimming cut that shields or shows the navel, can hide unwanted bulges with vest tops and cinches the midsection, bringing out your inner retro bombshell. Since I have a whole wardrobe of small vests of different colors and prints imaginable, it’s easy for me to create a variety of looks. Dress them up, dress up down. They’re a pretty versatile item and a fashion staple for women of all shapes and sizes. If worn appropriately… of course. This is one of many ways of how I’d wear the HWJ casually. A simple black crop T-shirt with retro style sunnies and flats and I’m out the door.
